It is incredibly important to our clients' success that we provide the entire family
with support services.  For parents, we provide classes and groups that provide them with the tools necessary to navigate through troubling waters.

Below are two of the parent education classes currently offered:

Parenting the Non-Compliant Child
This is a group for caregivers with explosive, defiant, or emotionally reactive children. Groups help parents develop and adhere to a plan for effectively responding to provocation and misbehavior.

VIPS (Very Important Parenting Skills)
This group helps caregivers develop parenting skills and provides knowledge about healthy child development. Emphasis is placed on discipline techniques, family management skills and parent self-care.

Next Session Starts April 1 at 7 pm,
click here for a flyer or call us at (847) 359-7490.

The Bridge also offers a myriad of other groups for children and parents throughout the year.

Other Groups

  • Kids Understanding Divorce or Separation
  • Social Skill Building Groups (for youth of all ages)
  • Substance Abuse Support Group for Teens
  • Anger Management for Kids
  • Anger Management for Parents
  • Taking Charge (for parents of teens)
  • Mommie and Me (for Teenage Mommies and their Toddlers)
  • Parenting Through the Early Years

The decision on which group is currently offered is based on community need and interest. If you are looking for a group not listed above, please call to find out what options we have available.
