The Bridge Youth & Family Services

Be a mentor to a 7-to-15-year-old child in need of a friend. Activities include meeting with your match one a week and attending monthly mentor meetings. [10-12 hours per month]

Work registration or setup fundraising and program events. [4-8 hours in one day - one time opportunities available]

Program Committee - this committee evaluates the programs of The Bridge at monthly meetings (sets program goals and outcome objectives). [2 hours a month]

Human Relations Committee - this committee evaluations staff and personnel issues at its monthly meeting. [2 hours a month]

Corporate Committee - this committee cultivates and develops relations with corporations. Activities includes monthly committee meeting and follow-up calls to corporate sponsors. [2-6 hours a month]

Dinner Dance Committee - this group coordinates The Bridge's annual gala. Subcommittees include attendance, auction, decorations, and raffle. Activities range from selling raffle tickets to decorating the gala. [3-8 hours a month, December - April]

Golf Committee - this committee coordinates the annual golf outing. Subcommittees include, games, auction and logistics. [2-6 hours a month, May - September]

Finance Committee - this group oversees and monitors the financial statements of The Bridge at monthly committee meetings. [2 hours a month]

Public Relations Committee - this group is in charge of all communications and public relations for The Bridge. Activities include website design, writing press releases and newsletter copy, designing brochures, and coordinating projects. [2-6 hours a month]

Development Committee - Oversees all of The Bridge's fundraising activities at its monthly meeting. Members of the committee also attend most fundraising events and activities. [2-6 hours a month]

Friends of The Bridge - this group helps The Bridge recruit new volunteers by coordinating quarterly networking events. [2-4 hours a month]

Design brochures, newsletters and invitation packages using QuarkXpress or other graphic design software. [4-10 hours a month]

Helping The Bridge with computer and other information technology. [4-10 hours a month]

Filing, copying or doing other administrative tasks at The Bridge. [2-10 hours a month]
