DESCRIPTION:~ Step back into time when you attend our Gatsby Casino Benefit for The Bridge ~   \nOn April 27\, 2024\, The Wild Onion Brewery Great Hall will be transformed into a 1920’s Speakeasy Casino. Grab your friends and join us as we visit the prohibition era for a fundraiser filled with fun\, food\, and mission moments! Entertainment is provided by GSH Casinos and Chicago’s very own crooner\, Jack Miuccio. The program for the evening includes silent and live auctions\, raffles\, and a paddle raise where we will call for donations to support vital services to our children and families. \nDoors open at 5:30! Dinner will be self-guided through entrée stations of hand carved prime rib\, pasta\, meat and vegetarian selections followed by table served coffee and dessert. \nTickets are $200 per person\, and include passed hors d’oeuvres\, dinner\, open bar\, and casino gaming chips. Last year’s event drew almost 300 cars\, 1000 guests\, and had an estimated $30\,000\,000 of supercars in the parking lot. The event raised $60\,000 for 3 local charities\, The Bridge Youth & Family Services\, A Giving Heat Foundation\, and Fellowship Housing.

DESCRIPTION:Since the pandemic\, there has been a rise in mental health diagnoses and crisis situations in youth and teens. \n\n70\,000 classroom education minutes were lost to emotional dysregulation and behavioral disruption in local classrooms between August 2022 – February 2024.\n31.0% of 8th graders reported that during the last school year they had felt so sad or hopeless almost every day for two weeks or more in a row and stopped them from doing usual activities.\n2\,000 students were in need of and received support in mentoring\, behavior intervention planning\, social emotional plans with mental health providers\, and wraparound.\n\nHere at The Bridge\, we provide services to support youth and families in creating emotional wellness\, strong relationships\, and successful futures. We work with police and education partners to offer services and programs in counseling\, therapy\, family stabilization\, juvenile justice\, and mentoring. This Giving Tuesday we are looking to spread awareness to help guide our youth and families in our community. \nGiving Tuesday is December 3rd\, a global day of giving that encourages people to support causes and communities they care about.
