Thanks for your interest in becoming a mentor with The Bridge!

The Youth Mentor Program at The Bridge pairs adult volunteer mentors with youth one-on-one and facilitates monthly activities for the larger group to enjoy together. The Bridge provides all the training and support you need to be a successful role model in a child’s life. Please join us if you can give just one or two hours a week of your time. Children in the program are ages 11 and older (through high school) and could use an extra, reliable role model in their lives.

Studies show mentoring promotes:

  • Increased school attendance
  • Healthy decision-making
  • Skill development
  • Increased participation in sports or extracurricular activities
  • Community volunteering
  • Better social skills
  • Increased likelihood of enrolling in a college or university
  • Increased success in school and/or career

Mentoring is the single most effective way to positively impact a child’s life. By mentoring youth through The Bridge Mentor Program, you will create a safe, trusting relationship that in turn helps build upon the child’s social, academic, and overall life skills.
