The Bridge is seeking a bilingual counselor to join our Family Stabilization Team. As a member of a community focused intervention team, this position works with children and families on the verge of breakdown, with youth who refuse to attend school regularly, and with youth who have come into contact with the police. The Bridge team works with families to deflect them from the Department of Children and Family Services and Juvenile Justice.

This position will be on-call twice per week and one weekend day. We work with local schools and police departments in Palatine Township, Maine Township, Hanover, Schaumburg and Elk Grove Village.

General work hours are Monday to Friday and include evenings/week to accommodate client schedules and rotating weekend on-call schedules.

Join our team of passionate therapists to provide clinical and counseling supports to children and families in need of mental health services. Our team works in partnership with our partner agencies, schools, and community to acquire referrals.

As a Clinical Therapist, you will provide a range of clinical services to clients under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director. You are responsible for conducting intake, providing therapy and some case management services for adolescents and children, and their families, with mild to moderate mental illness or dually diagnosed. You will complete comprehensive mental health assessments to determine service needs. You will formulates treatment plans and implements intervention strategies and monitors and review treatment plan regularly.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with youth and families, be able to describe the modality and methods of intervention used, demonstrate skill in assessment and follow up, as well as demonstrate excellent time management and documentation ability.
