Mentoring

The Bridge Mentor Program represents a key component of our mission and is how we provide local opportunity youth with the vital human connection and support they need to develop problem-solving, communication, and critical life skills.

Mentor Program Goals Include:

  • Increased school attendance and performance
  • Improved social and life skills
  • Improved inter and intrapersonal relationships
  • Reduced conflict with peers and family relationships
  • Increased social capital
  • Reduced risk of criminal activity and substance use

Bridge Buddies

In collaboration with D15, The Bridge aims to enhance educational outcomes by offering support to elementary students during the school day. This program targets students who struggle with focus in class, have difficulties making friends, or require additional emotional support. Each student will be paired with a mentor who will visit them during the lunch hour. To assist with planning our team will provide activity kits, if desired.

Beyond The Bridge

The Bridge mentor Program is a prevention program for children aged 11-17. Our program pairs adult mentors one-on-one with youth who need an extra caring adult in their lives for additional support and guidance.
