Become a Host Home

Host Home Families provide licensed, in-home support for youth ages 11-17 experiencing challenges with family conflict, runaway, lockout, or homelessness. A stay with a Host Home Family is intended to be short term, up to 21 days, until youth circumstances are stabilized.

This program provides an additional resource to the families that we continue to serve through our Comprehensive Community Based Youth Services (CCBYS) program. Under the safe and supportive care of certified homes, youth are diverted from DCFS custody and being unhoused, until The Bridge can provide support to stabilize or seek additional resources for the family prior to reunification.

Host Homes are recruited in the following communities:

  • Palatine Township
  • Barrington Township
  • Schaumburg Township
  • Elk Grove Township
  • Hanover Township
  • Maine Township
